Every year for many years, Canadian employers are canvassed about their concerns and intentions for their group healthcare benefits. The 2018 survey results are just out. The following findings are notable:

  • 1 in 4 employers are concerned about the sustainability of their dental plans
  • indeed, the dental plan ranks second (to the drug plan) as worrisome
  • the wellness movement seems to be stalling over value for money and uncertain outcomes

These survey results are given in a robust economy.  One wonders about the support for the dental plan when employers enter more challenging times.
